Dr. Esther Lin grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and attended the University of Southern California for her undergraduate studies. She discovered her passion for eye care while volunteering with community health organizations, then attained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. During her intern years, Dr. Lin gained exposure in the areas of primary care, contact lens, ocular disease, low vision, pediatrics, and vision therapy.
Her clinical externships included Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the University Eye Clinic in DTLA, and VA Southern Arizona. Under the NEI grant, Dr. Lin also had the privilege, as a T-35 student fellow, to pursue research in fundamentals of binocular vision at SUNY School of Optometry.
Dr. Lin is a therapeutic and glaucoma-certified (TLG) optometrist, and a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association.
